Room Makeover

Bobby was away for a week at the church's general assembly in Indianapolis. Prior to his leaving, our FREE 42" Plasma TV arrived (I won it online). The kids & I spent the week redecorating our family room because the TV didn't fit into the 20 year old (?is that right Mev?) entertainment center. This was a surprise for Bobby when he got home. Lauren's visit

Lauren home with us from Pineview to stay for 10 days and enjoy Atlanta. We gave her the full exposure to ATL but she was in love with the Braves so we learned the trick to get in for $1 and hit the players up for autographs. Click Here for pics

Kidsfest at Pineview

Right after school was out, we spent 2 weeks at Pineview and hosted Kidsfest there. It was much fun! Jonathan & Jordan were clowns. Here are some pics I took of the trip - click here

Last Day of School

The day before the "last day", Bobby & the kids were in a bad wreck on the way to school. The car was totalled and miraculously all 4 kids (Kalin & Karissa were carpooling) were without a scratch!

Here are some pics of the fun picnic we organized for celebrating the last day at school. Click Here

Jonathan's Baseball Season

Jonathan played for the Marlins team at NYO this season. He had a great coach who used to play for Auburn. Their team was about 50/50 for the season. In one of the last few games, Jonathan was playing third base when he picked up the ball and threw it to first base in time to tag the runner out. It was a beautiful play that we all couldn't beleive it made it - because that's tough to do in their league. Coach said he was the only player he saw all season do that successfully.

Pineview Fun

After Dauphin Island, we had an afternoon of fun with Ricky, Stephanie, Savannah & Garrett. We went fishing in the ponds behind their house and had some good ole country fun. The kids eventually got bored with the fishing and began messing around the water little by little until they were fully into the big puddle. Ricky caught a bass and someone threw it into the little pond where the kids were which freaked them out. View photos

Dauphin Island

We went to visit Pineview for Easter Sunday. We were able to get away a couple days early to stay on the beach at Dauphin Island. This was a wonderful and amazing trip.

The island was so quiet and private. We were able to ride bicycles around the streets and just have a great time enjoying the beauty of it all.

Botanical Gardens Field Trip

The first grade class went to visit Atlanta's Botanical Gardens. Bobby & I both drove for this field trip and each had our own little group to lead around the place. It was really beautiful but I think the kids would rather have been playing in the fields. View photos

Father Daughter Dance

Bobby & Jordan had a special time at the Heiskell School's annual father / daughter dance. This is their 2nd year to attend. Jordan wore the dress from Chad & Erica's wedding and she felt like a princess (of course when does she not). Bobby gave her a little ring while they were dancing.

New York City

We took the kids to New York City as their birthday & Christmas presents. Mom & Rita met us there for part of the trip. We had a BLAST as we drug the kids around the subway and city until we thought we'd all drop. One night we rode the carriage in Central Park at midnight. view pics
